Terms of service

1. Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. Keep your login secure; you are responsible for activity in your workspaces, including actions by members you invite. Workspace owners control who has access and can remove members at any time.

2. Your content

You keep all rights to the documents, data and conversations you put into DocMind (“Customer Content”). You give us permission to host, copy, process and transmit Customer Content only as needed to provide and secure the service. We do not use Customer Content to train AI models. You confirm you have the rights and any consents needed for the content you upload and for the personal data of visitors who use your assistant.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload unlawful content, or content you have no right to use;
• use DocMind to harass, defraud or mislead people, or to give regulated advice without the required qualifications;
• attempt to access another customer's data, probe or bypass security controls, or overload the service;
• use the widget or API to build a competing product by systematically extracting DocMind's outputs; or
• resell the service without our written agreement.

4. AI-generated answers

DocMind generates answers from your content using AI models. Answers include citations so they can be checked, and the assistant is designed to say when it doesn't know, but AI can still make mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing how your assistant is used, for the content it draws on, and for decisions made using its answers. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial or safety-critical decisions.

5. Plans, billing and taxes

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in INR (via Razorpay) or USD (via Stripe) and renew until cancelled.
• INR prices exclude GST, which is added at the applicable rate. A tax invoice is issued for every payment.
• Usage limits apply per plan. At 100% of your monthly messages the assistant pauses until the next period or an upgrade.
• Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise in writing.

6. Suspension and termination

You may delete your workspace at any time from its settings. We may suspend a workspace that breaches these terms, poses a security risk, or has unpaid fees, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us. On deletion, Customer Content is permanently erased as described in the Privacy policy.

7. Availability and changes

We aim for at least 99.5% monthly availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may improve or change features; if a change materially reduces the service you pay for, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses, except for breaches of confidentiality or your obligations under section 3.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at [city to be confirmed] have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have.
